The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is being introduced in phases, with applications opening based on age. The federal government will send letters to eligible seniors with details on applying by phone. Here’s the application timeline:
- December 2023: Ages 87+
- January 2024: Ages 77–86
- February 2024: Ages 72–76
- March 2024: Ages 70–71
Starting in May 2024, an online application portal will be available for seniors aged 65+. In June 2024, those with a valid Disability Tax Credit certificate and parents of children under 18 will also be able to apply online.
